First Day O' School

Yippee!  Hooray!  Today's the big day!  Oh wait.  Those are my words, definitely not the boy's words.  They woke up without much trouble, excitement in the air.  Then as the morning routine progressed there was a bit of grumbling...

But we made it.  Ready for second grade...

Ready for fourth grade...

And off we went with everyone in tow.  Even J needed a backpack.  There was a bit of hesitancy from Mr. A but that is always to be expected.

We made sure to drop him off first.  Mrs. R showed him to his locker and just as we said our goodbyes the tears came on...so we left.  As I glanced over my shoulder on the way out the door Mrs. R was right there with him so I knew he was going to be just fine.

And Z?  Well, he's a pro.  The friend in this pic has been in his class almost every year and her little brother is now with A.

We had cheers from Mommy and Daddy and tears from Mr. A but overall it was a successful first morning.
