Rain...Lots 'O Rain!!

So sometime between Thursday and Monday, tropical storm Hermine decided to come straight at us. I knew it was going to rain on Monday and Tuesday but I had no idea, NO IDEA it was a tropical storm coming at us. Nice, huh?

So it rained on Monday. It never stopped. It would drizzle pretty steadily, then pick up and downpour, then drizzle again. No thunder. No lightning.

It rained all through the night and into Tuesday. Same thing. Rain, rain and more rain. That day Z had a friend, G, come home from school to play with him. As we were all eating dinner we noticed the backyard had quite the pool of standing water. I guess 36 hours of rain will do that. After dinner we took the boys outside and let them run wild.

Yes, A is in his pajamas. :)

As we were playing the boys found this little guy. He was about as big as my pinky nail and oh so cutie!

The boys had a great time! It was really fun sharing this with G. :)

The fun didn't end here. Wednesday morning the phone rang at 5:45 a.m. I didn't move a muscle and neither did M. It was the district recording calling to tell us that school would have a two hour delay due to all the rain and flooding in some parts of the district. Craziness!! But I

have to admit...very fun! :)
