Day 5: Rest and Recovery

I know you're on pins and needles wondering if A was better the next morning. Well, he still had a pesky fever and after the long night a day of rest was in order for him and Daddy.

That morning I took off with the biggest boy and my sister's family to Typhoon Lagoon. Everyone else stayed back at the hotel for a down day. Baby J enjoyed some pampering and a few relaxing naps with Mimi and Pappasito.

No pictures from the water park. All I can say is that first ride was cooooooold! The one day we went and the sky was cloudy. Sheesh! Go figure. There wasn't much for the little ones in way of rides but we did find one that is like a family raft. We split into threes and took off. K and I had little T with us. The first waterfalls hit us and it was like ice. All three of us screamed and then T started crying. I couldn't blame her, it was way chilly! We were able to enjoy the lazy river and the wave pool but had to call it a day early because we had big plans that night.

Back at the hotel, M and A enjoyed The Princess and The Frog movie, lunch and naps! By mid-afternoon the fever was gone so things were looking up. What to do for our evening plans? Well, A was quite upset that he had to miss out on the water park fun and was dying to be with the other kiddos. His fever was gone and he had some energy so we decided to let him join in the evening festivities.

After a little rest and a shower we were off to the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue at the Fort Wilderness Resort. A short boat ride took us from the Bay Lakes over to the other resort. We made it with enough time to take pictures and enjoy the scenery.

Look! We even got a smile from baby J!!

The show was perfect for the kids! Singing, dancing and potty humor...how could you not enjoy that! :) I highly recommend it!

A picked at his dinner and made it through the show but by the end he was ready to call it a night. Off to bed for the next big day ahead...
