Day 6: Two in One

Things were looking up! A was within hours of the 24 hour mark for his fever, we were all rested and ready to go for another day of parks. On the agenda: Animal Kingdom for the morning, Epcot by 1:30 to catch lunch at the Coral Reef restaurant at 2:30, finished off by more Epcot until the kids wear out.

When we got to Animal Kingdom we were able to hop on the safari ride thanks to some early risers in the group. (We waited until A woke up on his own to make sure he got all the rest his little body needed.) K and her family along with Pappasito and Z were at the park shortly after it opened, grabbed Fast Passes and got them to us with minutes to spare before they expired. It was full service!!

On our way out we ran into some familiar faces and the kids were becoming pros!

Assume the position!!

A short bus ride took us to our next stop.

Then it was time to find our restaurant. 6 adults and 1 child scanned maps to find the Coral Reef restaurant. Guess who found it?

While we were there Epcot was hosting a Flower and Garden Festival. Check out these beauties...

Perhaps the funniest moment of the day occurred at the Test Track ride. It was the one Z had been waiting for at this park. K and I grabbed Fast Passes. Just as I was finished I turned around to see all four kids huddled around the height requirement sign. I heard, "Hold still!", "Stand up straight", "I'll help!". Then I caught a glimpse of A through the crowd. He was up against the sign, two hands on his head and one under his chin squeezing his cheeks together and making his lips pucker. No sooner had I realized what was going on when I heard, "HE'S TALL ENOUGH!!" followed by jumping and squealing. The four of them had figured out that A was the smallest and were measuring him to make sure he could ride too. They can be the best of friends one moment and fight like cats and dogs the next. :)

Yup, he's tall enough! :)
We finished the day at Epcot and made it until about 8:00. Then we went back to the hotel to watch the fireworks from our room.

What a view! Fireworks out the window, Space Mountain and the castle in the background. Absolutely perfect!!
