We spent last week doing something we've never done before. We took a road trip to Alabama! A few months ago we started planning a family trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama. Honestly, I'd never heard of it before and was miffed about going to Alabama in the first place. If you've never been...GO! It was beautiful and not a bad road trip at all since we broke it up into two days.
We rented a 4 bedroom house called Wendy's Way and it was gorgeous! It sat right along the ocean, had a pool, a screened in sitting area along the water and plenty of fish for the kids to catch off the pier. I will admit. After being there a week we only hit the beach once because we were so busy playing in the pool.
There were many memories made that week. From silly times...
To many hand stands...
Mommy up in everyone's business playing with a new lens...
Much water swallowed which resulted in lots of watering of the grass...
"Squirt gun" fights...
Bunny races (the two in life vests got a head start to the other side before the swimmers tried to catch them)...
Poopers being thrown in the pool...
And the best part...CHICKEN FIGHTS!
With battle cries of course...

Who used his muscles to pluck off the chickens like bugs...
But the best part of all the pool time. Exhaustion...
