Chomper Check-Up

A few weeks after J's birthday we went in for his well check.  That's when all those pesky questions come up.  Does he eat veggies?  Meat?  How many cups of milk a day?  Naps?  Hours of sleep at night?  Teeth cleaning?  Huh?  Oh shoot!  "No, he hasn't seen the dentist yet."  Then I think 'Dang!  We were doing so well!'

So Monday we went to the dentist for our first check-up.  Last time one of the big boys went for a cleaning I took J with us so he could see how much "fun" it is to go to the dentist.  Well that trip paid off because he did AWESOME!

When the hygienist called his name he hopped up from his seat and said, "I'm Jo-dan".  Luckily we got the most friendly hygienist in the office.  She found him completely adorable and gushed over him.  Of course my little guy ate it all up.

He got to wear cool sunglasses and watch a movie of his choice on the TV suspended above him while she cleaned his teeth.

Even though it was his first visit we tried to get x-rays.  He wasn't fond of the heavy apron but left it on long enough to...

bite on the cards and get some pictures!  I was really surprised.  Shocked, really!

This makes me laugh out loud!  He really did stay still like a statue while she took the x-rays.

Then while we waited for the dentist to come take a look we played with all the puppets.  J found their biiig teeth really funny.

So there you have it.  Our first trip to the dentist was a success and J even got to put his name in the No Cavity Club.
