276ish

Over Thanksgiving (I think) I devised a plan.  Every year the season comes and goes and we either bake cookies because it's the thing to do, I bake the cookies alone, or we don't make any cookies and just eat the ones that other people give us.  Well I decided this year was going to be different!  Thanksgiving day I invited my grandmother, aunt, mom, sister and nieces up to our house to bake cookies.  It was a lot to ask since I knew they would have to drive an hour and a half to us but they actually jumped on it - and I'm so glad they did!

The only disappointment was that one of my nieces got sick so my sister and the girls stayed home.  Bummer!  But if I had to pick between cookie day or Christmas, I'd rather have them with us on Christmas day.

The ladies arrived and the boys were so excited!  We've never had a big bake day with family so this was a big deal.  Z decided right away that he wanted to help Welita.  Why?  Well, mostly because her recipe needed a power tool.

She had no idea what she was in for when he offered to "help"!

A and I teamed up and worked on a batch.

We also had to use a power tool and he loved every second of it!

And Aunt Emilie?  Well she had big plans of decorating sugar cookies.  They were decorated alright.  But they were more of the cookie-with-your-frosting-and-sprinkles kind of cookies.  You could get diabetes just by smelling them!

Before we all started Welita wanted to double the recipes.  Well I'm kinda glad we didn't.  Why?  Because in the end we had 276 cookies!!

And poor M.  He worked hard taking pictures, supervising and taste testing...
