Soccer, Soccer and more Soccer

It was nice while it lasted. Our hiatus, that is. We did sports in the fall and then took a break for the winter. Why? To be quite honest...because Mommy and Daddy wanted a break. Now we're back to two soccer practices, Religious Education, and a running group night for Mommy every week. Yes, it's a lot. That's why we wanted the break. But. It's not about us. :)

So the boys wanted to play soccer. Z was all sorts of eager beaver and his eagerness rubbed off on A. I have to admit that I was a little skeptical but both boys seem to be enjoying it this time around.

Now. When I say "enjoy", it means two different things depending on which boy you're talking about.

First there is Z. He "enjoys" the competitive side of soccer. He's played goalie for every game and gets quite frustrated if the other team scores on him. He really gets into it and loves all of it...the practice, the uniform, the new sports glasses ;), ALL of it. This picture sums up his attitude...

Then there's A. He lives life a little differently. He likes to have fun...every where he goes. He "enjoys" running up and down the field, always with an eye on us to see if we're watching. He likes to follow the pack of kids but hardly every gets in the mess of feet flying around to kick the ball. Quite frequently we get a thumbs up from him, just because. He loves his cool uniform, his water bottle, his little chair that has his name on it. This is A's attitude...

So there you have it. Our season is off to an "enjoyable" start! :)
