Happy 15 Months, Peanut!

Wow. WOW!! The wee man has grown so quickly. It's been a while since I've posted a Peanut update so I have lots to tell.

* The biggest milestone is that he's walking! Not just a few steps here and there...now he's full on "I know I can move faster if I'm upright" walking. When he was born there was a medical issue that made us question whether or not he'd hit this milestone on time. (More on that later.) So to see him make his way around the house and hear the little feet slapping the tile makes my heart sing. He's been at this for about a month now and he's come so far but it still brings tears to my eyes.

* This past weekend it was brought to our attention that he really is communicating now. When you're with him every day you don't really step back and think about things the way other people see them. It's true. He's communicating with us now. He knows how to say "please" in sign language and uses it all the time. He's got the pointing down to a science. Combine that with a "please" and he can have anything he wants!

* He's got 6 teeth now. Four on top and the two little ones on the bottom. 98% of the time he uses them to eat food. The other times he's testing them out on us. Not cool.

* I can leave the room now...but only for short periods of time...if he doesn't see me. It's still a challenge for me to go to the restroom alone.

* Leaving the room means someone else needs to be with him. Why? We have a climber on our hands. We've caught him on the couch, the ottoman and a kitchen chair. And he's taken a few tumbles. Not cool. But. If I think back to some of the concerns we had...I'll take it.

* He loves his food. :) He's at the stage where he will try anything and most of the time he does like it. Some of his favorites? Kiwi, strawberries, broccoli, potatoes, carrots, pancakes, chicken, fish, and cookies. Still not a fan of eggs.

So here's our wee man...growing too fast.
