Gettin' Ready

One of the things we have to do every year is take in a picture of the boys. Well, Mommy being the photographer and slightly particular about the picture we take in (just slightly), I did our annual school picture tonight. I made the boys change clothes, jammies just won't do, brush teeth, comb hair, waited for the right lighting, took them outside for the pretty green background, placed them just so, and snapped away. Ok. Maybe I'm more that slightly particular.

Anyway, as I edited these photos I couldn't help but notice just how cute they are! In our day to day stuff it's hard to see the cuteness in, "BOYS! Please don't point the nerf gun at people." (after getting pelted in the side of the head). "A, did you wash your hands?" (we're 4 and still don't like to wash after going potty) Then there's the "Mooooom! Brother's copying me!" or "Mooooom! Brother isn't going to help me clean up!" or "I'M TELLING!!" Sheesh! The list is so lengthy but I think you know what I mean.

So tonight as they sleep soundly in their beds, Z letting out the occasional snore and A spread eagle, I can take the time to look at them and think "Hey, they're actually cute!"

And A, another year of preschool, now three days a week. Ohhhh how I find that gleam in your eyes so funny...when you're not awake. ;)
