What a Blessing!

Last year a friend of mine asked me to help her photograph the ordinations for the diocese. I was honored and thrilled. This year she asked if I knew of anyone that could help her out again. I said, "Wait a minute! Don't count me out yet!" She was worried I would have my hands full with three boys. I do, but this was an experience I didn't want to pass up.

Again, we had the deaconate ordinations first. They were in the same church as last year. This one is a little tricky to shoot in because it has a skylight and the side windows create a major problem as well. I think we got some good pictures. This is one of my favorites because the skylight is actually helpful and adds to the photograph.

The priestly ordinations were moved to another church, one I had never been to before. I walked in and it was so beautiful it took my breath away!

This time around we had 7 men being ordained as priests. Several of them were ordained deacons last year...the first ceremony I helped photograph.

It was just as wonderful to be a part of the ceremony this year as it was last year. I hope my friend continues to ask for my help.
