Slightly Obsessed

Z has a new passion, hobby, interest, obsession. He loves, and I mean LOVES the show Brain Surge. It comes on Nick Jr. and I have to admit, it is kinda fun to watch. The past few months he comes home from school, plays for 30 minutes and turns on the t.v. right at 3:30 for his daily fix. Even A is into it now.

The problem is we don't just watch it, we watch each episode several times. Last weekend I deleted some of the episodes off the DVR and I thought he was going to go into mourning. He was not a happy camper.

There are three stages of the game show. The first tests memory based on quick videos. Which dog did the most flips? Which locker did not get opened? What word did the fairy write with her wand? Then it goes to a "true" story with funny details and pictures where the kids then answer comprehension questions. The last two players standing play a quick memory game and then they are down to one player. All the other players that answered the questions wrong or had a low score have to go down the Brain Drain (nasty slide covered in goo).

The last guy standing has his memory tested with a light up board on the floor. Three different sizes, three different prizes and a 90 seconds to complete all three.

It is kinda fun...the first time you see the episode. :)

Stay tuned...we've also discovered Wheel of Fortune.

We love Brain Surge, too. Doesn't the brain drain look fun? (if you're 12) Know whatcha mean about seeing it only once . . .
