A Wonderful Weekend Getaway

Last Friday M and I took off for a weekend in Vegas. I've never been there and he was excited to show me around.

Our flight took off around 9:30 a.m. which was early - but we were so excited that it didn't matter. We landed around 10 a.m. their time and hit the ground running. We were able to check into our hotel - the Trump - leave our bags and explore.

The first thing to check off the list...play the machines. We lost $2. Yup. Big gamblers. ;)

I think we found a little piece of heaven out there - it's called The Forum Shops. It's beautiful! :)

Had to get a picture of this for the boys. :)

And this just because I was having a blast with my camera.

It was so much fun walking around with our drinks!! That was probably my favorite part. Those that know me, know that I can nurse a drink for hours. This one lasted a while and only disappeared because M and I were sharing it.

Saturday morning we hit the strip again. This time we agreed not to go until our legs felt like they were going to fall off. We had a yummy breakfast and found the M&M shop. I'd heard about it but didn't know that it was 4 floors of fun!!

That afternoon we relaxed by the pool, took a nap and then got ready for out big night out. It was my favorite by far. We got all dressed up, had dinner and took off to see a show. I loved every minute of it - definitely my love language...quality time doing something new. Don't we look hot?! ;)

Oh! Word of advice. When you hand someone your camera to take your picture you may want to ask them if they've had anything to drink. A very nice lady asked if we wanted her to take our picture together. SURE! I handed it to her and was explaining how to use the thing when she almost dropped it on the floor!!! My heart literally...stopped...beating. That was when she told me she was drunk. Hmmm...would it have been rude to rip it out of her hands and tell her never mind?
Sunday night we had dinner at Tao. Apparently we missed Jay Z's party that was held there the night before. It was a really fun place and I highly recommend it if you are ever in Vegas. After dinner it was our night to explore the strip and for me to play with my toy.

This shot was really fun. I've always wanted to take a motion picture at night. M found a bridge for me that didn't have glass so that I could get a good shot. (He really loves me.)

Parting thoughts: Vegas was nice, but did I love it? No. I had a good time seeing the casinos - they all look the same after a while. I ate some very yummy food. It was nice to get away and rest. But what I enjoyed most was wandering aimlessly with my husband. We had a very good time just being together.
