Home to...COLD!?!

The drive back to Denver was uneventful. We woke up, and made our way out the door with plenty of time to spare. I was excited about heading back only because we made the drive up to Winter Park in the dark. I knew it was going to look a little different in the daylight.

Despite the fact that the boys didn't go to sleep until 9:45 (they were playing in bed for an hour and a half) they were in pretty decent moods. I was so hoping that they'd take a nap on the way to the airport because that was going to be their only chance. Only one mangage to nod off.

When we landed in Austin it was 33 degrees outside. M and I thought that was going to feel warm compared to where we'd just come from. Boy were we wrong!!! The air down here was not as dry and the wind cut right through every layer we had on. I had packed the boys' gloves away thinking we wouldn't need them. After two minutes waiting for the shuttle to take us to our car, A started freaking out because his hands were "told".

So we made it. It was our first adventure on a plane - the 4 of us. It was so relaxing to be away from the hustle and bustle of the season. We'll have a down day and then we're off to finish off that Christmas list of things to do.
