Day 3 - Waldbusser Weekend

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!

This morning we were off to the beach again. Oma really wanted a picture of all the kids eating watermelon on the beach and we gave it our best shot but sometimes you just can't make kids do what you want. A was having nothing to do with the picture, mainly because he doesn't like watermelon. Just as we finished taking our picture I turned to look at the clouds we had been keeping an eye on and here's what I saw.

We barely made it to the cars before it started pouring!!

After we all showered it was time to eat the dessert the boys had made with Oma that morning. They all helped he make an American flag with Jell-O, Cool Whip, strawberries and blueberries.

You can probably guess what Z wanted to do that afternoon. Fish. We gave him some time down there and by this point he had caught half a dozen or so fish.

This is one that M caught. It's so pretty! :)

The clouds cleared for the afternoon but we got more rain right around dinner. I thought we'd get rained out for fireworks but sure enough, the sky cleared again. Fireworks went off all around us and it was such a beautiful night. A was totally in love with all the action, Z on the other hand did not like the loud noise but enjoyed playing with his glow stick.
