Day One - 2 Pound shoes

We're heeeere! In California, that is. :) We flew out yesterday morning at 7:20 a.m. We were all bright and chipper when the alarm went off at 4 a.m. We boarded the plane and had a super easy and quiet flight.

Before we even got on the plane we had a little bit of excitement. :) We stood in a 30 minute line to check our bags. When we got up there our big suitcase weighed 52.8 pounds. 2.8 pounds over the limit. The lady asked if there was anything we could take out. Uh, what?! I said I had some shoes in there that we could move. So here is a picture of my 2 pound shoes. They got to travel in the cabin with me. Who knew that running shoes could do the trick?! Geez.

After a little breakfast, we were off!

We landed in San Francisco and parted ways with Monica. She is spending the weekend with a friend. We jumped in our Silver Accord and were off to Napa. It was exactly like I imagined it would be...touristy, but off the beaten path there are vines as far as the eye can see. We stopped off at Beringer and Robert Mondavi. Both were beautiful!

Along the way I've made M take self portraits with me. He is thrilled. ;)

We hit a little Italian restaurant last night and ventured out with the risotto and duck. Sooo yummy! Our tummies were full and we were asleep by 8:45. What a bunch of wild and crazy kids!
