Endless Chitter-Chatter

Growing up I used to make fun of my sister because she could rattle on NON-STOP! The only way to make her stop was to play The Quiet Game. Even that lasted only a few minutes.

When Z was born all I wanted him to do was talk. Just to hear his little voice. I was so excited when he started learning those first words. Now he has so many words and uses them alllll the time. It can be a little cringe inducing.

Through the endless chitter chatter I have learned a few new things:

* People do not have to pee every day. Here is a conversation from Sunday.
"Zachy, why don't you go potty before we go play outside."
"I just did."
"When?"
"On Friday."

* For years I've always thought Dairy Queen sold Blizzards.
" Mama, you know what will be yummy?!"
"What will be yummy?"
" A LIZARD!"
" A what?!"
" A lizard."
" That doesn't sound yummy to me."
" Yes it does. You know. The ice cream and candies."
" Ohhhhh. You mean a Blizzard."
" Yeah...a lizard."

* It is not possible to HURT someone's feelings.
" Daddy, can I play Pac-Man?"
" No, you already played on the computer today."
" But that makes my feelings."

* Little ears are always listening...
"O.k. You need to go to sleep now so you will have a good day at school tomorrow."
"Wait! I need my bears!"
"I'll go look for them. You wait here in bed."
"Do your best job, Daddy!"
