Friday morning we were up and our way to eat breakfast before meeting "Kayla, Teesa, Uncle Mike and Tia Kim" at Sea World. We were also so excited to see "Mattie Jack, Ellie, Ms. Mary and Mr. Matt" there as well. We had soooo much fun with all of them. In fact, I was having so much fun that I only took two pictures during the Shamu show!
I also got one on the way home that pretty much sums up how we were all feeling in the car.
After a couple of power naps we met the Coopers for dinner at La Hacienda de Los Barrios. If you've never been, you have to try the Tres Margaritas. Matt and I have had them before and from what I could tell that night both Matts enjoyed them tremedously. :) We love going to dinner with the Coopers!
That night as I put Zachy to bed he said, "I had too much fun today." When I went in to check on him before I hit the sack myself, the poor guy was fast asleep and hadn't moved since he uttered those words to me.
The fun didn't end there. Saturday morning we met the Cooper gang again for a little swimming. It was cloudy that morning but it didn't stop the kids! Zachy was shaking like a leaf but he didn't care. Sadly, this ended our Cooper fun. I can't take credit for all the great ideas though. Mary came up with the Sea World plan to celebrate Mattie Jack's third birthday. We just went along for the ride and thought it was a great way to celebrate for both boys.
That afternoon we were back at Mimi and Pappasito's house for another power nap. We had a big night planned and the naps were crucial! Rainforest Cafe on the Riverwalk was the place we celebrated with the family. We thought the atmosphere would be perfect for two toddlers and two preschoolers. We waited an hour but when you're having fun with family the time passes so quickly! After dinner we took a barge ride to see the sights. It was a nice relaxing ride.
When we returned home it was 9:00 and time for cake and ice cream!! Austin ate two scoops of vanilla ice cream, but only if it was fed to him. Contrary to what the picture shows - he really did like it. Then we opened gifts and that kept everyone going for a while longer. Uncle Mike and Tia Kim gave the boys the cutest Spurs jerseys. We had to get pictures of them. By this time it was 10:30 and everyone was tired, fighting and crying. When the adults just looked at each other Uncle Mike joined in with his own dramatic cry. :) If you can't beat 'em - join 'em!! We were able to get a couple more pictures and then Matt said, "I think we're bordering on child abuse." It was another day of "too much fun".
