Texas Tour Part Dos

After we picked strawberries and after we ate our yummy strawberry treats we let the kiddos play on the air pillows.  The kids had to split up based on age so that was a little disappointing for them but as you can see, they got over it quickly.

Some were a little more subdued about their excitement and happiness...

while others had a hard time containing themselves.  Maybe the separation was a good thing! ;)

As if that wasn't enough fun for all, we went on to feed the goats.  I was hoping it wouldn't be a bust because when we first walked up to the goats they did not look hungry at all.  I was wrong - they gobbled up our food within seconds.

Then we hung around to pet them...

This friends surprised me the most.  He's not super fond of Nikki and when she approaches him he gets nervous.  It was a different story with the goats!  He loved just petting them.  I think it was the security of the fence.

Well an hour and a half after we arrived we were all hungry and ready to move on.  We had lunch in Marble Falls and then we were off to Pedernales Falls!

The falls are only a few miles away from the strawberry patch so this was easier to get to than I thought.  After a few potty stops and change of clothes we were off with our little hiking crew.

Z and Uncle Joe...

Ahhhh the famous picture.  You'll notice there are not as many pictures of us at the falls.  Why, you ask?  Because it's hard to take pictures and keep an active three year old from falling in the water or over the edge of a rock.  So after a bit of hiking we decided to take a group shot.  We got a serious-everyone-smile-at-the-camera shot and then we got our silly face shot.  Seriously.  This was the only one we took and it came out awesome!!!  Yay for the camera timer!

If you've never been to Pedernales Falls - GO!  Since we've had so little rain it's pretty much dried up but that makes for some great hiking over the rocks.  This was taken on our way out.  Yes, it's totally worth it and the crew had a great time.

One last shot for the day.  I handed the camera over and stood with my sista.  We look tired and in need of a little make-up but I love this picture.  It's us.  Our adventures are always exhausting - sheesh!  But it's worth it for the memories we're making and the closeness the cousins share.  This picture will remind us of the days the kids loved to have a slumber party in the big boy room.  When we had to shush them countless times, each taking turns using our "mean" voice.  When they were all up before the sun and we had to chug the coffee to keep up with them.  When we worked so hard hauling the crew around in double minivans, keeping them separated so they'd get some rest between stops.  And before we'd part ways, laughing about how much "fun" it was playing referee.  This is the picture that will remind us of all those days...
