School Days

Hallelujah, it's a new school year!!  Can you see me jumping up and down?!  I've decided we do much, MUCH better on a schedule.  The boys are happier, Mommy is happier...Mommy is MUCH happier.  Seriously, it's super hard to keep the boys entertained each day of the summer when it's a thousand degrees outside and you melt just by stepping onto your porch.

This year A is in first grade.  Doesn't he look thrilled? ;)  So far he is happy with his teacher, is still getting to know some of the friends in his class, but comes home saying he's had a good day just about every day.  Guess you can't ask for much more than that!

Z is in third grade.  Wowzers!!  His teacher is really sweet and perfect for him.  He too comes home every day saying his day was "AWE-SOME!".  Going on his fourth year at the same school he knows a lot of the kids in his class already so I hope those friendships grow stronger as the year goes on.

The first day of school was a little different from last year.  The boys switched roles.  Z jumped out of bed ready to take on third grade.  A grumbled, moaned and pitched a fit about having to wake up early.  I really wish he didn't take after his father so much. ;)

Here's my THIRD grader on the first day...
*8 years old
*Loves all things Mech Warrior and Legos
*Can often times be found with his nose in a book
*Willing to try all foods
*Serious Root Beer lover
*Proud cub scout - now a Bear

Here's my FIRST grader:
*6 years old
*Major Pokemon fan
*Still hates asparagus and lumpy socks
*Would eat yogurt and drink milk at every meal
*Finally a cub scout - cutest Tiger cub around!
*Decompresses from the day by playing with his stuffed animals

Here's to a great year with many happy memories for both of my big boys!!
