Monday Z had a bit of a rough day at school. He did great until the playground when he just couldn't seem to stop squirting others with the water bottle. As a result, he had to forfeit his treasure. It was quite emotional. The whole while A was watching and absorbing more than I thought.
Wednesday we were leaving for school and I was trying to pump up Z by telling him I knew he would have a great day and earn his treasure back. Then A piped up and said, "Zachy. No pussing (pushing) and no quirt (squirt) sue (shoe) wif wa-yer (water)."
Hmmm...maybe they don't really need me. A was pretty clear with Z about what he needs to improve on. I couldn't have said it better myself.
