A Happy Thanksgiving!!

Wednesday afternoon Oma arrived. It was very eventful actually. :) Nikki escaped out the front door as I was upstairs. Z came up to tell me, "Nikki went out in the front yard but it's OK. Oma is going to get her." My eyes nearly popped out of my head because Nikki takes off running and doesn't look back. I feared Oma would chase her to the end of the Earth and we'd have to make signs...

I took off out the front door and started screaming for both of them. Then I darted down the street to the main road of the neighborhood. I could hear Oma but had no idea where she was. Luckily Nikki did not head for Anderson Mill, she went into the neighborhood and turned right. I didn't know how she'd react to me but when I called she came running straight into my arms. Poor Oma, she was a little out of breath. :)
Thursday morning we finished up the big meal and when lunchtime rolled around we had quite the spread! Little A didn't want much more than his roll. Z on the other hand tried everything and ate quite a lot. We all had to take the usual Thanksgiving Day nap. I especially needed one if I was going to last the rest of the day.
M and I left the house at 4 to head to the Horns game. 49 to 9!!! So awesome!! We went with some friends we've known a while - the Sheguits. Had a blast catching up with them. After the game we had a mission - first of all we needed food, then we were on to the outlet mall!! The only thing open on Thanksgiving night is Whataburger. I'm fine with that, but we weren't fine with the monster lines! We passed 3 and all had lines of at least 10 cars.
As we neared the outlet mall in Round Rock, the traffic came to a halt on the freeway. It was CRAZY!! We couldn't even park in the lot, we had to park in another shopping center and hike across the field. It was worth it - I had a blast just being in the thick of it! There were some great sales out there, although I did draw the line at waiting to get into the Coach store. There was a line at least 100 people deep...just waiting to get IN! No thanks.
We made it home at 2:15 a.m. Exhausted but totally fulfilled. We haven't had a great adventure like that since we went to Beijing. :)
