This morning we spent the best $10 since China! M has been dying to take the boys canoeing. I've been excited but a little more hesitant not knowing how the boys (mainly A) would react.
We loaded up the car despite the clouds and made the drive down to Zilker Park (yes, twice in 3 days). I was encouraged when we arrived because there were other kids about A's age in the canoes and they even had teeny tiny lifejackets. We were assigned canoe 71 and after snapping the last buckle we headed to the water. M was back in his element...Mr. Eagle Scout. :)
Little A was hesitant at first, but once we got going and started feeding the fish he was having just as much fun as Z. We saw turtles and swans along the way as well. M and I enjoyed the workout and the beautiful weather out on the lake.
Eventually we all got hungry and came back in but we couldn't leave without showing Daddy the
spot we put our feet in on Thursday.
spot we put our feet in on Thursday. After lunch at Ski Shores we made the quiet car ride home. The bath and showers put the finishing touch on the excursion and we were all toast. But the show goes on when two little friends decide naptime is over and we drug ourselves out of bed at 5:30 this evening.
Poor Daddy. I think we're wearing him out! Hope he makes it to Farter's Day next weekend!! :)
