Catching Up

Where have I been you ask? SLEEPING! I had no idea jet lag was so excruciating!! I had to drag myself out of bed on Wednesday morning thinking it was just after nine. Not so much - it was 11:30!!

So the flight back was extremely long, but very easy. The first leg from Beijing to San Fran was not full so M and I had an extra seat to spread out a little. We landed in San Fran at 8 a.m. or 11 p.m. Beijing time. We had a three hour layover so by the time we boarded it was the middle of the night for us. All I remember is taking off from San Fran and landing in Austin! We traveled for 24 straight hours. Crazy!!

The past few days have been a whirlwind but so wonderful! After getting a little sleep I hit the ground running and organizing for the weekend. Thankfully my mom had cleaned our house for us (how awesome is that?!).

Friday night company started arriving late into the night. By Saturday morning everyone had arrived and we were off to the graduation. The cousins stayed behind with the Amazing Twin Sitters and were in great hands. Graduation was wonderful and just as I knew it had been building up - I cried. Tears of joy and relief, but mostly they were proud tears - WE did it! I was hoping I could walk across the stage with M, but I contained myself...on the front row. ;)

We celebrated at dinner out at Carlos and Charlie's and then had the most delicious cake made by Tracey D.! It was a hit and is completely GONE! It was a dual celebration cake - graduation and Austin's 2nd Birthday. I can't believe it! He's TWO!!
