Saturday was the Longhorn show-off day. It's a Waldbusser tradition of sorts. :) Does that surprise anyone? Joe flew to Dallas on Friday night and drove down with his dad. They arrived at 12:45 a.m. That is some serious determination.
The morning started off with the usual hellos, chit-chat and head bang. Oh wait, that was anything but normal. The little boys were rough housing with the big boys and it's all fun and games until someone gets hurt. Everyone tends to forget that A is still little. He went flying and collided with the bedroom door...the edge of the bedroom door. It instantly puffed out and bruised up. Ugh! It still makes me sick to my stomach to look at this picture. (We're much better now - just getting rid of the bruise.)
It was really nice to have M's dad with us. We don't see him very often so when we do it is a nice treat. I was able to pick his brain about photography and he even brought a camera for me to borrow. Soooo cool!

All the men were in their element, especially the first Waldbusser brothers. Z received his first football lesson and learned about the quarterback who happened to be wearing a black jersey that day. Now the quarterback as Z calls him is "the black guy". Hmmm...we may have to relearn that one.
So while the "game" was going on, the kids did the usual...climbed all over Uncle Mike.
And the women did what they could to pass the time.
It was great to spend time with family - even if it was in the stands of the UT stadium. :) We were exhausted at the end of the day, but completely fulfilled.
