Officer A

Meals have become a time for tattling. Usually I hear, "Mama, A is throwing food on the floor." or "Mama, A is rolling his cup again." I look up to see A looking like a deer in headlights every time. He knows he's been busted.

Yesterday was just the opposite and I just had to chuckle. A is learning the power of words. As I was unloading the dishwasher I heard, "Zaa, no, no, no! Mama....paying. No, no, no!" When I finally realized A was tattling, I looked up and found him wagging his little finger at Z. Z had the box of wipes we keep on the table for messy clean up. He was opening and closing it. That's all. Apparently A did not like him "paying" (playing) and the table. I just had to laugh - silently, of course, because this time A was doing the tattling and Z was caught in the headlights.
