If It's Not One Thing, It's Another

That saying is so true when you have little ones. Our happy go-lucky A found a fun new habit. He's always been a hair twirler. My hair, his hair - he's not picky. During his nap a couple of weeks ago he started screaming. I ran in to find him laying down in the crib, but when he sat up his hand was attached to his head. He had been twirling his hair and got his finger stuck! It took a little work to untangle his hair and his finger, but I finally got it.

Last week he woke up from his nap and as he was playing I noticed he had a little bald spot on the back of his head. After a closer look, I noticed the hair was completely gone in that spot. I found it on his sheet in the crib. A wave of panic went through my body. I remember going to school with a girl that pulled out her hair in class. I remember her so vividly!

So less than an hour later we were at Cool Cuts 4 Kids getting his hair chopped in the back. It solved the problem...for a few days. Sunday morning there was more hair in the crib. Not nearly as much as last week, but enough for me to take him back for another hair cut. This time the whole head was chopped. It's all about an inch long. Short enough so that he can't twirl and pull and also short enough to make me sad that his cute hair is gone.
