2007 Spring Jamboree

What a great weekend we had! PawPaw drove down from Dallas on Friday and made it here safely despite the rainy weather. Uncle Joe on the other hand made it in safely, just three hours after he was supposed to arrive. His connecting flight got stuck in Dallas but he made it in on a very bumpy flight. His reward was Whataburger - they don't have them in Arkansas.

Saturday morning we woke up and loaded up the Tahoe to head to UT. I was a little outnumbered with the 5 boys but it was fun. Zachy and Austin did great in the stands! We sat there for almost two hours and they were both perfectly content watching all the action. The popcorn and M&Ms helped too.

Last night when I tucked Zachy into bed we talked about what he saw. He said, "We saw the Hook 'Em Horns play football, and a big tv, and a band, and a cow with big horns...a big boom! And had POPCORN!"


We were all completely exhausted. Austin fell asleep before we hit Lamar but it was perfect because he took a quick nap on the way to Ski Shores for lunch. It was such a beautiful day! Joe wanted to eat some place "Austiny" so that's where we ended up.




The boys finally made it down for their naps at 3:30. Poor Matt was worn out. This was the first Saturday we've spent together as a family in a while because he usually studies with his MBA group. I told him family time can be exhausting. We had so much fun!!!
