Christmas Day 2006

We were all so excited for Santa to come this year. It was the first year Zachy understood the process. He told anyone who would listen that Santa was going to bring him a "bideo" game. Lucky for him Santa was listening! He was up at seven - the usual time - and was amazed that the oreos and milk we left out for Santa had disappeared. Once the presents were opened he was content to sit in his nest of pillows on the couch playing his "bideo" game.

After rushing around we were off to San Antonio to celebrate at Welita's house. It was a lot of fun - as usual. :)

After Welita's house we went to Mimi and Pappasito's for MORE presents! It was definately a day of present overload. Paper was flying everywhere and the cousins had a blast.

For weeks Mimi and Pappasito had been very secretive about a "big" gift. I would talk to them on the phone and see if I could get any information (yes, I did this on purpose). I was always able to get a little more out of Pappasito, but then Mimi would hear and even if she wasn't on the phone I could hear her in the background telling Pappasito not to "give it away". The gifts were hiding in the garage on Christmas Day.

When the garage door went up the kids were able to see the three cars before the adults due to their size. No one had to tell them the cars were for them - they all took off and jumped in one. With a little guidance, the gas pedals were found pretty quickly and soon we had three little red bugs driving down the street. I'm not sure who had more fun, the kids or the adults that were laughing so hard their cheeks hurt.

This will be the last time your parents buy THREE CARS at once. I hope you know they did this for a reason. When the kids want their first Big car they will be able to say " We bought them their first car, the next one is on you"
